OU vs. OSU? Get a Life!

I am constantly amazed at the energy put into being a fan of one of these college sports teams. When I am asked who do you root for, OU or OSU? I reply, "I hate them both equally." Of course, stunned silence follows. Actually, I could care less about either one, it's the fanaticism that I can't stand.

Consider this: only approximately 22 percent of the state of oklahoma's population went to college at all. And I would suppose at least half of them went to some other college in the state such as TU, or some other smaller state university. So what is the deal? All these people sporting OU or OSU license plates, stickers, hats, sweatshirts and they didn't even go to that university, much less to college at all!
It's like a cult, every baby born in this pathetic state is ingrained with his/her parents fanaticism from the day they are born. The poor kids don't even have a chance.

You know what, you stupid okies? Step outside this pathetic state and nobody cares about your stupid universities, NOBODY.

Who do I root for? Whoever OU or OSU happens to be playing that day.

So much time, energy and money wasted on something that really doesn't matter. I put my time, energy and money in the things that do matter. God, my family, my career. Not some stupid college sports team at some university that I didn't even go to.
If you stupid okies would take that time, energy and money and put it into making this crap hole state better, then it could become a decent place to live. As it is now:
